Choosing Your Leveling System
Literacy Pro works in both Guided Reading and Lexile classrooms. Here’s where you’ll select the leveling system you use. Your selection will determine which leveling system you and students in your classes see as you explore and search for books. This selection will also determine which leveling system is displayed most prominently in your reports. (If you make no change, your classes will automatically be set up for Guided Reading levels.)
Tracking Two Leveling Systems
Do you use Guided Reading levels—and want to record Lexile measures?
In Settings, select Guided Reading Level as your leveling system. Then follow the instructions on the Entering Students’ Lexile Measures page to enter students’ Lexile measures. That way, you and your students will see GRLs as you browse the site. And GRLs will be displayed most prominently in your reports. In addition, you will have a record of your students’ Lexile measures.

Customizing Students’ Experience
- Expand Libraries: Literacy Pro automatically shows your students books at the grade level(s) you selected in Scholastic Digital Manager or your Learning Management System (LMS). If you’d like for your students to access books from additional grade levels, you can do that here. The more libraries you open up, the more book choices they will have!
- Audio for Think More: Use the checkbox next to your students’ names to enable read-aloud for Think More comprehension checks.
- En Español: Use the checkbox next to your students’ names to enable them to filter for and view Spanish titles.
Please Note: Students marked with an * are enrolled in more than one Literacy Pro class. These students have access to books from the grades in which they are enrolled, any additional grade(s) you select below, as well as any grade(s) other teacher(s) have selected. The settings for Think More and En Español apply to all classes in which the student is enrolled.
