To access Ready4Reading, educators will launch it from Scholastic Digital Manager (SDM) or the school’s learning management system.
Teacher Hub Home Screen
The Teacher Hub home screen shows the Ready4Reading digital resources available to you. Ready4Reading is organized into three modules:
- Wiley Blevins Teaching Phonics
- Short Reads Decodables
- Read to Know Text Sets
You may have access to all three modules, or to selected modules, depending on what your district has purchased. If a module is shown in gray on your screen, it wasn’t included in your purchase.
The Teacher Hub home screen enables you to access content by skills and by module.
Browse by Skills
Searching by skill allows you to identify lessons by specific phonics skill to support your students. You can view all the Ready4Reading lessons available to you, by skills, in two ways:
- From the Teacher Hub home screen, Select Skills from the top navigation bar.
- Or, from the Teacher Hub home screen, select a skills category from the Browse by skills section.
After selecting a skills category, you'll see a screen showing the corresponding lessons in the three Ready4Reading modules. (If a module is shown in gray, it is not a part of your district’s purchase. )
On this screen, skills categories are shown on the left, with specific skills listed underneath.
You can then choose the lesson(s) you’d like to share with your students.
For more information about lessons, see these articles:
Browse by Module
You can also view lessons by module, allowing you to access content for teaching, practice and application of skills depending on where you are in your lesson. You can view the Ready4Reading modules available to you two ways:
- From the Teacher Hub home screen, select Module from the top navigation bar.
- Or, from the Teacher Hub home screen, select a module from the Browse by Module section on the teacher home page.
If you select Wiley Blevins Teaching Phonics, you’ll see lessons from that module.
If you select Short Reads Decodables, you’ll see lessons from that module. Select Filter by Teaching Guide to view instruction by skill in each set.
Selecting the Read to Know Text Sets module leads to the interconnected text set lessons.
Student Hub: Teacher View
From the Teacher Hub home screen, you can access the Student Hub and interact with the content that your students use—exactly as they experience it. That means that, like the students, you may need to complete various activities to unlock content. (To freely view student content without completing activities, access it from the Lesson Materials section, on the right of each lesson.)
