The Ready4Reading Teacher Hub includes a variety of resources, instructional tools, assessments, data and grouping to help deliver explicit high quality phonics instruction.
To get started with Ready4Reading, you’ll need to set up your class(es) and enroll your students in Scholastic Digital Manager (SDM) or your school or district’s learning management system.
Rostering Manually on Scholastic Digital Manager (SDM)
SDM provides a single place for educators and students to access and manage their Scholastic digital programs—including rostered products that may maintain student data year over year.
Adding your students (rostering) manually on SDM means that your sign-on access and classroom management are handled within Scholastic Digital Manager.
- Manual rostering on SDM is teacher-led, meaning that educators can set up their classes in minutes, instantly creating student accounts by CSV file upload—or by manually adding individual students.
- Manual rostering includes an Easy Login option allowing younger learners, PreK–Grade 2, to sign in using recognizable user icons and picture passwords.
Rostering Through Third-Party Integrations
Scholastic Digital Manager has built integrations to support a number of services, including Clever, Google Classroom, ClassLink, and LTI-compatible learning management systems (such as Schoology and Canvas). These integrations enable districts to connect and share data between their student information systems and Scholastic Digital Manager.
Your rostering method is the same method you use to access SDM. For example, if you sign in using a Clever username and password, Clever is also your rostering method.
Launching Ready4Reading
After rostering your classes and students, you will be ready to launch Ready4Reading. From the SDM dashboard, or from the school’s learning management system, select the Ready4Reading icon to launch.
You'll see the Teacher Hub home screen, where you’ll see your skills, available instruction and resources organized by module, and links to Data & Groups, assessments, and the Student Hub.
