From the navigation bar, students can use the search bar to find ebooks and print titles. Students can
search by title, author, series, genre, interest category, or keyword.
Search Results
If students type a term in the search field and then select the magnifying glass or Return, they’ll see their search results. Students can use filters to manage how these titles are presented.
Ebooks/Paperbacks Toggle: This toggle allows users to view only ebooks or ebooks and any paperback recommendations from Literacy Pro they’ve added to their bookshelf. The default is ebooks only.
My Level: This filter shows books that are within the student’s reading range.
Think More : This filter shows only books with a Think More, an end-of-book comprehension activity.
with Audio: This filter shows ebooks with a read-aloud feature.
en Español: This filter allows the student to filter for Spanish-language titles. (Teachers can disable this filter.)
Teacher Picks: This filter shows books that the teacher has recommended for this student.
Sort By: Offers students different ways to order titles on their bookshelf.
Adding a Book to the Bookshelf
Students can add a book from the bookshelf by selecting the bookmark icon in the upper left of a book cover. The student can remove the book from the bookshelf at any time.
Advanced Filters
Older students can narrow their searches using advanced filters. On the search screen, the student will select Filters in the search bar. This will open four additional filters, which can be used individually or in combination with the other filters. As filters are selected, they appear just below. Users can select x to cancel the filter.
Reading Level: Allows the student to narrow a search by reading level(s). Students in Lexile classrooms will see Lexile measure ranges. Students in Guided Reading classrooms will see GRL ranges.
Genre: Allows students to narrow a search by their preferred genre(s).
Interest: Allows students to narrow a search by their interest(s).
Page Count: Allows the student to narrow a search by page range(s).
No Results for Search
If a search does not yield any results, students should cancel one or more of the filters and/or try a different search term.
