We recommend the following browser and operating system combinations for desktop and mobile usage of Scholastic programs. 

Using software that is not on this supported list will likely work as intended, though we cannot guarantee that all features will function properly. For optimal performance, security, and user experience, we recommend using one of our supported browser and operating system combinations.

Unless otherwise noted, we support the latest 2 versions of all browsers listed.

  • The minimum required bandwidth for individual users is 5mbps
  • 10-15Mbps/user is required for game play through a browser on devices running Windows, Chrome OS, or MacOS
  • Ooka Island School Edition app is required for game play on iOS and Android
  • On Chromebooks with access to the Google Play store, Ooka Island School Edition is available as an app via the Google Play Store
  • Reports are not currently viewable on phones or devices with a resolution less than 1024x786
  • 2GB of available storage on iOS and Android devices

  • The minimum required bandwidth for individual users is 5mbps
  • L2M currently supports the following devices. Note that this list can change over time. To protect student data, when devices become obsolete and can no longer receive the latest operating system updates, they will no longer be supported by L2M.
    • Chromebooks: all up-to-date models with at least a 9.7" screen
    • Laptops/desktops
    • Operating Systems:
      • Windows 10
      • MacOS Mojave
      • Linux/Unix variants
  • The L2M Assessment is designed to be responsive down to 1024x768 and 768x1024 resolutions.
  • Devices with speakers are required for audio instruction (headsets are strongly encouraged)
  • Screen Reader Compatibility: 
    • Ensure L2M content is fully accessible via screen readers by tagging all images with descriptive alt text, using semantic HTML for content structure, and ensuring all interactive elements are keyboard navigable.
