Yes! Administrators can use deep links to enable students to launch directly into specific Scholastic digital programs.
TIP: If you are a teacher with a Classroom Magazine subscription, you don't have to be an administrator to access the application launch URL for your magazine. For more information, see Classroom Magazines: Connect Using LTI Integration.
Deep linking allows you to use a product’s unique launch URL so that you always have the option of directing students towards the most relevant content.
To create a deep link, add a specific Scholastic digital product as an external app within your LMS.
The steps are similar to how you might first enable secure launching for Scholastic Digital Manager:
- Add an external app to your class and use your organization’s KEY and SECRET for Scholastic Digital Manager.
- Instead of using SDM’s Launch URL, copy and paste the Application Launch URL for the specific digital product you would like to deep link. You can find the Application Launch URL on the LTI Settings page inside Scholastic Digital Manager.
- Add the program to your class as its own external application.
Now, if you or your students log into your organization’s LMS and click on the link, they will be launched directly into your chosen product.
